Many visitors are fascinated with the constant movement, the overwhelming impressions, with the people and the noise. Time passes quickly, sometimes too quickly here. Thankfully there are sanctuaries. There are parks where I go to find tranquility and some rest. But even the parks are bustling with activity. There is constant growing and changing of plants in all the flower beds of Regent’s Park and St Jame’s Park, but also in the green parks you will find constant growing.
Other sanctuaries are art galleries, churches and museums. But here you will find peace and quietness, won’t you ? No, on the contrary, because these are the places where we, you and I, are growing ; where we grow in a constant inner movement, first inwards and then outwards when we have matured.
As long as we live, move and exist, we will be constantly on the move.
It is my wish that this exhibition in The Swedish Seamen’s Church during the Paralympics 2012 will give you strength, courage and happiness in our constant and joint movement." - Michael Personn
